This week, and probably for the rest of the month, my reflections are focusing a lot on the brevity of life. I got to asking myself if I would have any regrets, should I die today. I asked myself what we need to do in order to “number our days” as the verse says. Is it possible to live an intentional and focused life even without experiencing tragedy? Are there things that I need to attend to in my life that I have been putting off?
I have much more reflection to do yet. But I leave you with these same questions. Are you living the life you intend(ed) to live, or you are just meeting each day with no real fervency? Are there things you promised yourself to do but haven’t gotten round to? What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for a tragedy to kick you into action? And if your life were to end now, would you have any regrets, and what might they be? Because as long as you are alive, you have a chance to “grow in wisdom”
